Primary Purpose:
The Sr Manager Finance reports functionally to the VP Finance of the LAT SBU and operationally to the General Manager.
The Country SR Finance Manager is responsible for the financial management of the Business Unit interacting with the local and regional leadership team and ensuring that proper finance decisions are made.
Main Responsibilities:
• Leadership role in maximizing business performance understanding and having the ability to summarize and communicate clearly the financial and operating results of the country in order to measure progress against objectives and assess the effectiveness of decisions made
• Understand the market environment, including general macro-economic factors, financial markets, tire industry data and competitors’ strategies Provide finance advice for business decision making
• Closely work with Sales & Marketing Area to develop effective pricing strategies to meet targeted results
• Preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Monthly Financial Estimates ensuring coordination across the functions so that reviews and adjustments can be addressed on a timely basis
• Maximize cash repatriation to parent company while funding country operations
• World class working capital management effectively interacting with other functional leaders (Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, as applicable) in driving improved results
• Risk management (identify and address business risks)
• Maintain effective relationship with customers in order to monitor their business performance and financial condition, gather market information and enhance business intelligence
• Maintain a strong internal control environment to ensure compliance with Company policies
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and financial estimates (Balance Sheet, P/L, Cash Flow)
• Build organizational capability (high performance organization)
• Attend Monthly Finance Leadership Team meeting and Country Operating Committee meetings
Education and Certifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• A minimum of 5 years of successful finance leadership experience ideally in a large and global company, functioned as Finance Manager or similar with full Balance Sheet and P/L responsibility
• Solid overall finance knowledge and versed in best practices related to financial management
Desirable:
• Broad experience with working capital management
• Experience in developing cost reduction strategies
• Development of pricing strategies in cooperation with Sales & Marketing Area
• Systems and processes optimization and standardization
• Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley related activities
