Plant Optimization Manager Jr.

Primary Purpose and Main Responsibilities
• Primary Purpose Lead all aspects of local plant optimization deployment and the execution of its methodology, in alignment with Global, Regional strategies and tactics, and Site objectives. Drive the foundational aspects and sustainability while installing the pillars per implementation plan while ensuring "One Goodyear way" and measurement of technical and cultural transformation.
• Drive "People Environmental Care" as a value and build a culture of "Zero Loss" while ensuring "One Goodyear Way".
Main Responsibilities
Provide direction and support the Plant Leadership Team on building the Plant pillar teams. Coach, facilitate, coordinate the Plant pillar teams on all activities.
• Act as key member of the Plant Steering Team and report to the local Manufacturing Director. Lead Steering committee meeting at plant level business center as needed to ensure alignment and progress. Ensures plant / business team pillars stays on plan. Report results to Management.
• Maintain Business team KPI's.
• Capture and communicate lessons learned.
• Educate and Coach the organization on Plant Optimization.
• Provides the environment to learn by doing and develop the framework for collaborative learning. Identify pitfalls and roadblocks.
• Create an environment of open sharing between Business Teams. Participate in all pillars processes. Attend Business Team leadership team meetings and steering meeting as required. Assist education and communication progress to the site.
• Become the expert of all the pillars methodology while developing his/her own successor. Follow "One Goodyear way" to ensure standardization across the company. Communicate best practice and Benchmark with other plants.
• Provide Regional and Global Plant Optimization Leaders updates on status of implementation potential issues/roadblocks. Supports: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF16949 as it requires
Education and Certifications
• Bachelor University Degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar Desired TPM Certified Advanced Technical Degree or MBA.
Experience
• Manufacturing experience of 7 years. Experience in driving and implement continuous improvement methodologies and tools. Good understanding of Change Management and issue mitigation related to human.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of tools used in Lean 5S, PULL SYSTEMS, KAIZEN Events, SMED. Ability to direct cross-functional working groups. Superior Verbal communication skills, good command of English and local languages.
• Demonstrated leadership and team building skills. Desired Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF16949 as it requires.
