Primary Purpose of the Position
Responsibility to ensure full compliance with the formal duties and obligations set in Tax Peru legislation, U.S. GAAP and Company Policies in terms of Taxes. Support to the local business in all tax matters that could impact the operation. Maximize tax benefits from operations, minimizing risk and tax contingencies. Have constant communication with Controlling and Corporate Tax department, support, performing and sending the reports requested by them.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the review and submission of the tax returns (Direct and Indirect taxes) • Responsible for preparing the annual transference pricing study
• Responsible for the determination and review of the deferred taxes according with the US-GAAP and IFRS
• Work with finance leadership to identify actionable Tax opportunities that can contribute to reduce cost or cash flow generation.
• Evaluate the new operations before the implementation to determinate the fiscal impacts or opportunities.
• Coordinate tax audit activities with external and internal auditors.
• Identified internal, external or Sox audit gaps; related to Tax are remediate on a timely basis.
• Check the transactions with foreign companies to determine if are affected with withholding tax.
• Check tax treaties to avoid double taxation in operations with foreign companies. • Knowledge of Transfer Price
• Experience in develop of new tax projects
Education & Certifications
• Accounting Bachelor English – Intermediate level MS Office
• Specialization in local and international taxes, transfer price. MBA
Experience
• Minimum 4 to 6 years of progressively more responsible experience in Tax, with minimum 2 years in a lead management role. SAP knowledge
• Experience working in industrial or multinational companies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Thorough understanding of country national (state), municipal and federal Taxes included Transfer Price.
• Strong knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in relevant systems (i.e. ERP system (SAP preferred), MS Office).
• Consulting skills, including the ability to draw on the ideas of key team members and convert them into meaningful plans.
• Strong skills to relationship with other internal areas, customers and tax authority
• Interpersonal skills that establish and maintain excellent relationships and credibility quickly. Creates team atmosphere while achieving key objectives. • Demonstrates understanding of how Tax decisions impact the business and forecasted operating results/cash flows.
• Be aware a opportunities and risks • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
