Cost Control Analyst

The Cost Control Outbound Analyst supports the daily basis operation in Goodyear´s Warehouse creating and colleting valuable data that will contribute into the decision-making process to strive the lean operation for imports and inbound SKUs.

A day in the life

The terrific communication and approach with their respective suppliers’ carriers are the main goals for the Cost Control Inbound Analyst for a success story inside Goodyear.  Proactivity and curiosity to solve the daily basis problems will excel the performance and will create the first line conveying with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Job Responsibilities
•    Weekly alignment with carriers to meet payments of services received.
•    Follow up of incidents and commitments with different suppliers emerged from the meetings.
•    Payments follow up with Accounts Payable to record and process invoices.
•    Analysis regarding Demurrages & Detentions for Shipping Companies and Custom Agents.
•    Follow up to expenses and accruals that must be analyzed by type for Shipping Companies, Customs Agents, Origin Country, Incoterm.
•    Coordinate and assure together with Imports team the correct number of containers brought sticking to the routing guide negotiated by procurement.
•    Coordinate and assure together with regional teams Risks & Opps (headwinds and savings).
•    Weekly and Monthly reports sent to region to explain variations, changes as well as Risks & Opps.
•    Weekly presentations to give updates to the Supply Chain Director and Logistics Manager to track expenses, number of containers and additional costs.
•    Month End Close reports and variance explanations and analysis.
•    Monthly and annual forecasting reports.


Basic Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in international business, Finance, Accounting, Management
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in equivalent positions.
•    Microsoft Excel Intermediate to Advanced— including but not limited to VLookup, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, Macros and Power Pivots.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•    Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP.
•    Strong initiative, teamwork, and coordination skills, result oriented.
•    Excellent logical and analytical skills, able to write and communicate with suppliers on specific solutions.
•    Excellent cross-team coordination and communication skills for solving issues with internal and external customers.
•    Advanced English written and oral skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

•    Reporting and Analytics (Ability to reports; validate information; understand report and offer feedback as well as deliver insights to your manager and or customer contacts on the information contained within the reports).
•    Working knowledge in Month End Close.
•    Monthly Forecasting and variance explanations.
•    Experience in administration and compliance with operational KPI’s.
•    Desirable experience in Logistics and or Supply Chain.
