Primary Purpose of the Position:
•    Act as change agent to support the continuous improvement of transportation traffic flows. To work close to Logistics Manager and operational people leading projects, giving technical support, and coaching people and processes. To be the focal point, mapping opportunities and implementing according to methodologies.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of the external flows.
•    Analyze transportation scheduling to accelerate the physical flows.
•    Drive the design, development, and/or improvement of tools, equipment, of transportation for shipments to customers and El Salto Plant to CEDIS circuit.
•    Contribute to external logistic service activities budget and cost reduction. Net cost out project.
•    Troubleshoot problems and implement countermeasures and solutions to maintain the business continuity.
•    Provide technical support for specific operations (Layout, routes, new project, value stream analysis, etc.).

 

Education:
•    Required:
o    Bachelor’s degree in administration, Industrial Engineer or equivalent.
•    Desired: 
o    Post graduate in Logistics or Business Management

 

Experience: 
•    5 to 7 Years of experience leading transportation operations and Logistics, working with continuous improvement methodologies. 
•    Several years of experience managing a group of people
•    Strong communication and problem-solving skills
•    Demonstrated talent development and leadership skills, including experience providing ongoing feedback and coaching, and an ability to organize people and delegate activities to accomplish meaningful goals.

Desired:
•    3 years in transportation modeling management 
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail.
