Engineer - Product Development Replacement (Construction)

The Role:

Our Innovation Center – Luxembourg is currently looking for a Construction Engineer to be part of the EMEA Consumer Replacement Team. Your main responsibilities will be to act as Tire Engineer assign to Tire development and industrialization. You will also need to provide support to functional projects (tools, processes and standards) leading to efficiency improvements and new capabilities, and TI project developing, evaluating, and implementing new technology to improve the product performances.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Construction Engineer to develop and release new product on performance, on quality, on time.
  • Act as Construction Engineer to support innovative projects, driven by the Construction expertise, leading to new guidelines and knowledges.

 

To join our team, you will need:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent is desired.


Languages:

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must.
  • Fluency in French and/or German is an asset. 

 

Experience:

We are open to recent graduates with limited industry experience; however, the below experience would be advantageous:

  • Experience in product/technology development.
  • Experience in process development activities.
  • Experience in project and/or people management.

 

IT, Soft Skills & others:

  • Interest in tire business or automotive industry.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Sense of responsibility and urgency. Showing initiative - Being proactive.
  • Rigorous & Quality focus.
  • CAD/CAM (preferred software Catia V5).
  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling is an asset.
  • Statistical tools is an asset.
