Intern in Light Tire Compounding Technology - Cost Optimization (m/f)

The opportunity:

We are currently looking for an Intern in our LTCT team to participate in projects dedicated to product cost optimization (MDPO). The chosen candidate will support the team by identifying opportunities in rubber compound cost/complexity reduction and execute the plan to achieve cost saving objectives. Beside the pure cost saving aspect, the candidate, together with the team, will have to measure compound properties and tire performances to ensure the product remain in our quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities :

  • Execute MDPO project plan activities
  • Design laboratory studies to evaluate material, and interpret results based on the underlying chemistry and physics of the materials being studied
  • Analyze data and document results in reports.
  • Present results, provide updates and participate in discussions during regular project meetings.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with design teams and manufacturing to ensure successful completion of projects

 

To join our team you will need:

 

Education:

Current Master’s/ Bachelor’s student in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related Materials discipline

 

Languages:

Good English level is required. 

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge in organic chemistry is required.
  • Familiarity with polymers, fillers, and/or rubber composites is a plus
  • Team player, organized and good communication skills
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Open minded and flexible
  • Knowledge on PC based software (MS Office)

 

You must be available for 6 months (not stated) & be enrolled in university.

Ideal starting date : February 2022.
