Intern in Performance Science - Life Cycle Mechanics (Tire Vehicle Mechanics) (m/f)

The opportunity:

We are currently looking for an intern in Tire Performance Science to join our team in Luxembourg. Your tasks will be the following ones :

  • In depth understand of commercial software for tire mapping analysis.
  • Characterization of tire and pattern geometry thanks to 3D mapping technology.
  • Reverse engineering method to generate tire characteristics from consumer and commercial application. Based on selected tire characteristics, statistical sensitivity analysis will be conducted to rank the influence and impact on selected tire performance.
  • Apply the methodology to support product design team during benchmark/feasibility phase: Measure characteristics and provide recommendation on performance through benchmark testing and predictive modelling.
  • Create and improve capabilities related to performance science department


To join our team you will need:



Current Master’s Student in Mechanical Engineering with specialty in Vehicle Dynamics, braking system, Tire mechanics, Friction law, Advanced Statistics.



English is must. French or German are an asset.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good skills in programming
  • Matlab, Python
  • SQL / database
  • Machine Learning, Statistical Data Analysis
  • Team player, In depth problem solving


You must be available for 6 months & be enrolled in university.

Ideal starting date : December 2021.
