The Opportunity
We are currently looking for interns to work within our Global Materials Science/Global Reinforcement Technology department in our Innovation Center.
You will work closely with GRT and Physical Lab on the following:

A. Development of laboratory testing procedure for steel cord reinforcement.
          •Flex fatigue (shoeshine) test development:
          •Develop compression fatigue for composite for ply steel cords
          •Define the best practices for composite sample preparation of :
          •Gain fundamental knowledge about fatigue testing:
          •Strip adhesion rubber coverage objective assessment

B. Characterization of plasma treated steel wire reinforcements.
          •Study the overall process consistency
          •Study the impact of ageing on adhesion
To join our team you will need:
You must be currently following a Master degree in Metallurgy (Steel), Materials Science or chemical engineering

You must have a good level in English. German will be considered as an asset.

IT, Soft Skills & others:

•Good knowledge of MS Office, basics of ImageJ would be an asset
•Good Knowledge of MATLAB, other scientific software is an asset
•The candidate must be willing to work in a lab environment and present good communication skills at all level (interaction with lab associates, presentations to GRT team)
