Internship in Analytical Science (m/f)
Colmar-Berg, L, LU
Goodyear. More Driven.
The Opportunity:
Assessment of analytical methods for the determination of cross-link density in rubber compounds using High Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. In addition to the main focus on High Field NMR techniques, time-domain NMR, compound swelling and other methods for total cross-link density measurements will be used as required.
Responsibilities:
The main deliverable of this study will be to assess a new methodology for total cross-link density measurements using high-field / high resolution NMR based on the polymer resonance linewidth or / and on the difference in chemical shift between confined and non-confined probe molecules. Basic feasibility studies showed very promising results.
To join our team you will need:
Education:
Master Student: Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry (4th or 5th year of studies).
