The Opportunity:
We are looking for Junior Financial Analyst Global Technology to join our team in Luxembourg. On this position you will :
- Be responsible monthly, quarterly, and yearly activities related to Global Technology spend, including support to monthly close activities and variance to forecast analysis in accordance with local and US accounting standards.
- Be responsible for preparing and distributing monthly financial reports, support on variance explanations, timely and accurately, as well as solving issues and analyzing spend by function, by project and by type.
- Work with Global and Regional Finance and Accounting teams, as well as functional stakeholders in Global Technology, which include Product Development, Tire Technology, New Ventures, Innovation Technology, Tire & Performance Science, Global Material Science and others.
- Interacts effectively and collaboratively with other members of the finance teams (FP&A, accounting, treasury, audit and controlling) and other departments, located in different countries and time zones.
To join our team you will need:
Education:
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Audit. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Languages:
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- French or German considered an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in finance/accounting/auditing environment or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, VBA is an asset. Knowledge on Essbase/Hyperion is a plus.
- Experience and Knowledge in SAP is required: FI/CO (will have to learn PS, which is key to Finance Technology)
- Experience to be effective in managing a high volume of data.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in Forecast, Planning and Analysis.
- Ability to be effective dealing with a high volume of data.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including virtual interactions with teams located in different countries and time zones.
- Highly accurate in analytical work. Well organized and flexible.
- Independent-minded while being a team player.
- Willing to develop collaboration skills across functional areas.
- Flexible and agile to learn and adapt to a constant evolving business environment.
- Strong personal integrity, business ethics, able to maintain confidentiality.
