Mechanical Engineer - Product Development Commercial construction (m/f)

The Opportunity:

Our Innovation Center – Luxembourg is currently looking for a new construction engineer to join the Radial Medium Truck (RMT) team. The team is responsible for all RMT products developed for all around the world except the Americas.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and industrialize new products using experimental and predictive approaches in interaction with other functions/departments within our company.
  • Improve products, processes, standards and document knowledge.
  • Assess prototypes to manage risks, with an intensive use of QMS and DFMEA methods.
  • Ensure deadlines are met and quality results are delivered in-line with the program objectives.
  • Consult with other project engineers, project management, and functional management for Technical strategy & Technical issue resolution.
  • Understand emerging methods and tools being developed by Fundamental Technology teams.
  • Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
  • Consider the strength factors for construction materials selection.

 

To join our team you will need:

 

Education:

Master’s Degree in engineering or material science required.


Languages:
Fluency in English (spoken and written) is a must. Fluency in French, German is an asset.

 

Experience:

  • Experience with Finite Element Modeling is a plus.
  • Understanding of tire design and related technology areas.
  • An experience in tire product development is an asset

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-cultural team is a must
  • Ability to define and execute projects with a minimum of supervision.
  • Capability to progress on several programs in parallel.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Showing sense of responsibility, urgency, initiative and ownership.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CAD/CAM tools (preferred software Catia V5).
  • Analytical and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and analyse data quickly and accurately
  • Willing to travel occasionally
