Mechanical Engineer - Tire Engineering (m/f)

Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Commercial Tire development  team as a Construction Engineer at the Innovation Center in Luxembourg. As a tire engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and releasing new tires using both experimental and predictive approaches. You'll collaborate with various departments within our company to drive innovation and improve our tire products.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop tires for a wide range of applications.
• Utilize experimental and predictive methods to innovate tire technology.
• Conduct research and analyze data to identify areas for enhancement.
• Test tires to ensure they meet rigorous safety and performance standards.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support tire development.
• Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• A master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 5 years’ experience in tire design and development
• Knowledge of Commercial Tire , in product development or manufacturing
• Fluency in English is essential, proficiency in German or French is a valuable asset.
• Experience with Predictive tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with VBA, SAP, and statistical tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of  Catia V5 is advantageous
• Good proficiency of Excel and other Office tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability  and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to occasionally travel for work.
