NC Programmer for our Mold Plant (m/f)

The Opportunity

Create programs for CNC machines using CAD/CAM software. Improve and optimize machining processes by reviewing material removal rates for optimum tool life and increased efficiency. Ensures successful completion of CNC programming goals set forth by management.

Your mission:

• Create and maintain multi-axis CNC programs to produce parts using Catia V5 / OpenMind HyperMill software.
• Control the CNC program on the machine and adapt the programs if needed.
• Able to improve machining strategy.
• Maintain the master CNC program directory, through proper file management techniques, to ensure the integrity of CNC programs.
• Implement and report cost improvements.
• Assist in the design of jigs, tools, fixtures, and special equipment for CNC applications.
• Ensure compliance with current CNC programming standards and best practices.
• Assist in the selection of new equipment.

To join our team you will need: 

Education:
The candidate should have a Bachelor degree mechanics or equivalent.

Languages:
English is a must. Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.

Experience:

• There is no mandatory experience but following points are some assets:
• Experience in designing and developing applications which support CATIA V5.
• Experience in Cad/Cam system with 3D models.
• The knowledge of visual basic for macro.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong math background.
• Analytical ability to solve shop problems.
• Efficient communication with customer and shop floor people.
• Being flexible.
