The opportunity
As the primary point of contact for network support, you will oversee the management and maintenance of the Luxembourg campus network and provide support for remote locations, primarily across EMEA and Asia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Campus Luxembourg Network Support: Ensure the smooth operation and troubleshooting of network infrastructure at the Luxembourg campus, offering local support to ensure minimal downtime.
- Remote Location Support: Provide network assistance to remote sites across the EMEA region, and occasionally in Asia, ensuring consistent network performance.
- Solutions & Technologies: Plan, document, implement, configure, troubleshoot, and continuously improve networking solutions.
- Project Management: Lead small to medium-sized networking projects within your area of expertise, from initial planning to final implementation.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and collaborate with cross-functional teams, offering detailed recommendations to support business-critical systems and operations.
- Troubleshooting: Resolve intermediate to advanced networking issues and escalate to senior team members when necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with global, regional, and local IT teams to ensure seamless network operations.
- Global Network Team Contribution: Actively participate in the global network team, contributing to shared objectives and best practices.
Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Management Information System, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred. However, we also welcome candidates with practical experience and a passion for hands-on work. In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of relevant IT experience, especially in technical or hands-on roles, will be considered.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five years of experience applying current IT solutions in business contexts is preferred, but we encourage candidates with practical, hands-on experience in any technical field, such as electrical engineering, network installation, or system maintenance.
- Candidates with experience working in physical environments and who enjoy troubleshooting, installing, configuring, and improving systems are strongly encouraged to apply.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required, and any other language is an asset.
IT skills & others:
- Advanced level of technical knowledge
o Cisco wireless technology
o Cisco catalyst switches and industrial switches
o Certification in any of these technologies is an asset
- Ability to understand the business needs and translate them in adequate IT solutions
- Good communication skills – speech adapted to the audience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good team player and able to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment
