Operations Analysis and Improvement Engineer for our Goodyear Mercury Plant, Dudelange

You will have the opportunity to:

 

  • As a leader, and with safety being one of Goodyear's most important values, support a "zero accident - absolute safety" focus and culture in all actions and decisions.
  • Establish the operating system and ensure the execution of the daily production requirements, coordinating with other team members to deliver the planned results.
  • Develop new processes & standard work into production-ready processes and ensure compliance to them, specifications and corporate procedures through audits to protect product integrity and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for development, maintenance, and alignment to all standard manufacturing processes r (overall performance of the team and facility).
  • Analysis of the plant’s various operational processes and systems (safety, quality, cost, production, etc.) and application of FI/IE tools to drive improvement and support plant objectives including cost saving target
  • Be a driver of continuous improvement:
  • Be proactive with continuous improvement tools, analysis of process irregularities, recommending solutions and facilitating initiatives to improve cycle & setup times, conversion cost and overall facility KPI's. 
  • Lead teams to implement process/machine improvements and roll out best practices.
  • Maintain and optimize equipment cycle times.  
  • Support new product and process implementations, and resolve process performance issues.

     

To join our team you will need:

  • Overall +5 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Min 3 years industrial facility experience in production team                                                                                
  • Experience in automated production environment is an asset    
  • Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering is a requirement     
  • Prior experience in a Lean manufacturing environment. (e.g. Visual Management, SOP, Root Cause Problem Solving, Hoshin Kanri, Standard Work, TPM, etc...)
  • Prior experience in data analysis tools and methods
  • Networking and Information Technology experience desired.
  • Coaching/ Team building experience desired.
  • Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering is a requirement

     

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to troubleshoot / improve automated, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to define and follow documented procedures and processes
  • Working knowledge of data acquisition, production planning, production control, Statistical Process Control
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Demonstrated influencing and coaching skill.
  • Strong sense of urgency, self-initiative and self-discipline.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and technical documentation skills.
  • Good project management skills and skills to coach project teams
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen
  • Fluent in English
