Production Specialist (GMS)

Primary Purpose of the Position:
- Achieve cost savings through driving productivity and improvement initiatives (safety, quality, waste, operational excellence, etc.).
- Support plant by interfacing with plant QEHS, Maintenance and supply chain department
- Eliminate machines losses and improve workplace organization.
- Ensure process and quality systems integrity.
- Implement new processes and resolve product performance issues.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure ticket achievement and delivery performance by unblocking situations and putting the right countermeasures in place.
- Perform activities that involve issuing reports, maintaining and interpreting product, process and material specifications related to maintain & improving the product quality within the manufacturing process, and implementation of process improvements.
- Execute activities involving continuous improvement tools, analysis of process irregularities, recommending solutions & facilitating cost down initiatives related to improving service cost.
- These duties would include training and instruction of appropriate team members and day-to-day floor support and development of standard work practices.
- Research, analyze, identify, and correct unacceptable performance through analysis and technical knowledge of the product/process including waste and cost reduction.

Education & Certifications:
- Master Degree or minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience:
- 3 + years’ experience in manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
- A solid understanding of product quality and waste reduction and experience in understanding product integrity.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to influence floor & staff associates in all activities desired.
- Agile and able to manage priorities.
- Process and results oriented
- Must be factual to perform root cause analysis and implements required actions.
- Must be analytical & able to organize data & communicate to all levels of organization.
- French & English language is a must.
