Senior Electrical-Computer Engineer - Tire Assembly

The opportunity
This position is responsible for the development of projects with moderate complexity or working on complex projects in cooperation as potentially the sole representative of a process area. The incumbent seeks solutions to technical problems, conducts work on assigned tasks & exhibits a significant level of knowledge and expertise. 


Main responsibilities:

  • Lead and Support capital projects (specification, design, planning, acceptance, installation, commissioning, and production support).
  • Support technology projects.
  • Direct manufacturing plant support.
  • Lead and Coordinate all activities to ensure global standards are met.
  • Work with Regional Manufacturing and Quality to establish and then propagate best practices around the region for tire assembly systems.
  • Develop and own the relationship with equipment suppliers. 
  • Troubleshooting and resolution of tire assembly equipment performance issues.
  • Implement in-house developed vision and data management system onto Tire Building Machine Platforms.
  • Own the relationship with final customers and development team of vision and data management systems.
  • Develop, implement, and commission PLC code for Tire Building Equipment.
  • Deep knowledge of Rockwell PLC design allowing to design or review complex PLC codes or to mentor other engineers during the design phase.
  • Use and understand new messaging technologies like Apache Active MQ.
  • Understanding of Networking Technologies and implementation strategies.
  • Deep Understanding of safety compliance including CE; ability to guide engineers on safety processes. 


To join our team, you will need:


Bachelor’s degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.
Preferred: PE, PMP or similar engineering / project management certifications.  MS, PhD in related engineering field.


The candidate has a good knowledge of English. French, German and/or Luxembourgish is a key asset.



  • 5-8 years’ experience required.
  • Experience in working across divisions and with external organizations.
  • Completed cross-functional assignments or projects.
  • Experience in driving and implementing continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Working knowledge and/or experience in implementing Lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change to achieve business results.


Other skills:

  • Understanding of the Tire Manufacturing process.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise technical guidance.
  • Be willing to travel up to 25% of time.
