Senior Financial Analyst - Factory Accounting (m/f)

The Opportunity

Currently we’re looking for Senior Financial Analyst - Factory Accounting GYO to join our team in Luxembourg. On this position you will:

  • Act as subject matter expert in relation to the Functional Responsibility – Fixed Assets & Factory accounting
  • Review journal entries and accounting reconciliations
  • Perform financial analysis and analytical reviews of actuals
  • Ensure internal controls/SOX controls are performed in an appropriate and timely manner, assist in responding to audits
  • To stay up to date with related policies and accounting guidelines and to ensure awareness and compliance though out the organization
  • Lead and/or participate in special projects & ad hoc analysis
  • Prepare and execute fixed asset, raw material and work in process inventories 
  • Close collaboration with plants and Finance Business Partner
  • To interact effectively and collaboratively with other members of the finance team (incl. GBS) and other departments within Goodyear

 

 To join our team you will need:

 Education:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree (BAC+3) specialized in Accounting or Finance or a comparable education. A Master’s degree (BAC+5) will be considered a strong asset.

 

Languages:

  • The candidate must be fluent in English, both speaking and writing
  • French or German considered an advantage
     

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting/Finance function
  • Background in US GAAP as well as Statutory GAAP is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of fixed asset related activities is a strong plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Excel is a must, Knowledge in SAP is required
  • Ability to be effective in a high volume of data, fast paced changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly accurate in analytical work
  • Well organized and flexible
  • Independent-minded while being a team player
  • Interested in the business
  • Willing to learn
  • Highly motivated
  • Collaboration skills across functional areas
