The Opportunity


You will have the opportunity to support the Innovation Technology team: by support technical Tire Information Systems developments for commercial and consumer applications.

Be part of a global technology development team. Understand business requirements and deliver technology that meets performance, cost and quality standards. Support development of Goodyear’s strategy in the area of commercial and consumer tire information systems.


Key missions:


Actively support the Tire Information Systems projects:
- Responsible for design, implementation and optimization of core algorithms for next-generation tire/vehicle sensors.

- Work with other partners such as hardware and software validation teams to take complex algorithms from proof of concept all the way to fully formed product.

- Support joint development projects with external partners and customers.

- Coordinate technology scouting activities in the areas of sensors, edge processing, IoT.


To join our team you will need:


Experience and skills:



- Specialization in estimation theory or sensor fusion (some common topics include inertial measurement, Kalman filters, particle filters, other Bayesian approaches more generally).

- Background in numerical methods and techniques, especially as relates to stability in real-time DSP algorithms.

- Background in time and frequency domain analysis techniques (FFT’s, wavelet analysis, etc.).

- Strong software engineering & algorithm development experience in Matlab, C, C++, Python, etc.

- Understanding of vehicle dynamics and tire mechanics.

- Experience with rapid prototyping systems (e.g.  dSpace MicroAutoBox-II).



- Familiarity with IoT technologies and standards.

- Familiarity with automotive networking concepts (CAN/LIN, Diagnostics).

- Experience with Big data analysis tools.



Master degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent. A PhD is considered an asset.



English is mandatory. German and/or French are considered as a plus.



5- 10 years of experience in automotive signal processing applications / electronics.

High proficiency with PC and MS Office, and solid programming skills with general purpose software like Matlab.

Enthusiastic team player, self learning with interest in automotive world.

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Travel domestically/internationally up to 25%.
