The opportunity

We are currently looking for Software Engineer – Python, AWS to join our team in Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg. On this position you will:

  • Develop highly scalable and reliable software using Python on the AWS cloud. Develop and deploy background processes and APIs and enable testing end to end.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement cloud native tools and architectures to improve application scale and performance. Support and maintain existing applications including feature additions and bug fixes.
  • Take part in design research and help identify design opportunities. Make complex work processes feel intuitive and understandable for end users and streamline the process with robust insightful telemetry.

 

 

To join our team you will need:

 

Education:

You have minimum Bachelor's degree Computer Science.


Languages:

You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French or German is an asset.


Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with Python.
  • Experience with C# and Java is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub and Docker.
  • Proven experience with designing large scale distributed software systems.
  • Knowledge in Database design for DBMS such as Postgres is a plus.
  • Experience with writing tests for new code (unit, mocking, integration).

 


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of programming best practices
  • Proficient understanding of distributed, out-of-process system design and implementation
  • Ability to solve problems and adapt quickly to new design and application trends
  • Very strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications with an emphasis toward the user experience of the solution
  • Commitment to timely, high quality and error free deliverables.
