Validation Engineer - Proactive Solutions EMEA

The opportunity


Main goal: to be responsible for and to perform hardware validation & system testing and integration activities for Online Services & Telematics hardware. To develop an automated test system.


You will manage the following tasks:

•Ownership of master test plans and test management plans
•To develop and maintain an automated test system
•To perform local testing planning and execution
•Planning of test-drives and test assignments
•Perform software validation for telematics products by utilizing test benches, vehicles and specialized test chambers (mostly automatic, manual when required)
•To provide regular status on test activities: Test coverage, Test Statistics and Quality of Testing\

To join our team you will need:



Master or Bachelor degree in engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, Automotive, Computer Science, Information Technologies)



•5 – 10 years of experience in a relevant field
•Deep knowledge of project validation lifecycles (automotive is a big plus)



English Is must. French and German will be considered as strong assets

Skills & Qualifications:

•Detailed knowledge of functionality of vehicle online services and telematics
•Experience in hardware validation and system integration
•Ability to interpret technical specifications
•Familiar with communication protocols and technologies knowledge: Serial, CAN, Ethernet, Wireless data communication WIFI, RF433, BTLE, GPS, Cellular.
•TCP/IP and application protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/SSH)
•IOT Technologies knowledge (APIs, MQTT, Cloud Infrastructure AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are a great plus
•Programming knowledge (any of these C++/C#, Java, Javascript, Python, Labview, LabWindows/CVI)
•Test  Automation, HIL
•Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
•Knowledge of product development processes and notions of project management activities, deliverables, and milestones
•Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason.
•Able to work in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary, target oriented work environment
•Excellent communication skills – presentation, written and interpersonal
•Able to continuously question and challenge the status-quo, always documenting and applying the lessons learned
•Team player with good collaboration and integration skills
