Primary purpose of the position:

  • Maintains existing supplier relationships regionally and locally. 

  • Supports suppPrinciple duties ly base segmentation through research, analytics and recommendations.

  • Ensure appropriate collaborative communication is occurring between strategic sourcing teams and shared services transactional teams.  

 

Principle duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading projects for the procurement of services and products for the Non-Manufacturing area for Europe South (France, Iberia and Italy) in the categories: IT & Telecom, Marketing & Communications, Prof. Services, HR Services.
  • Close cooperation with the stakeholders on the above mentioned categories as well as with the global strategic sourcing department
  • Implementation of global procurement strategies and development or derivation of local strategic requirements and transfer of these in cooperation with the functional departments
  • Close cooperation with the Procurement Operations Team as well as across the board with the Manufacturing Plant Buyers in the individual locations
  • Identify potential for savings in the procurement area and implement them in coordination with management
  • Contact person for all SAG related procurement procedures and processes

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.

 

Experience:

1-3 years of relevant work experience prefered.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Business process fundamentals 
  • Skills required:  Organization skills, strong Microsoft Access/Excel skills and/or other database programs, a team player, strong communication skills, influence skills,  self directing, and ability to work in a very fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
