Principal duties & reponsabilities:

 

- Risk Management -  Assure implementation of credit risk assessment processes and controls to protect the value of Accounts Receivable portfolio.  Develop and drive strategies regarding risk exposure and collection activites that balance risk and revenue growth opportunities.  Manage credit limits and total AR exposure.  Maintain bad debt allowance to assure resrve aligns to actual risk of loss.

- Accounts Receivable Management - Maintain systematic reviews of customers financial statements to assure their ongoing viability.  These reviews can become complex.  Provide monthly reporting to Regional management regarding results to metrics/goals as well providing past due and cash flow forecasts to FP&A.  Drive operating results which support business teams AOP. 

Process Improvement/Internal Control Strategies - Initiate process improvement strategies which provide upstream/downstream benefit to Credit function, as well as other internal departments. Assist in the design of all regional practices, procedures and objectives related to credit extension, including policy creation and adherence, reporting guidelines, and internal controls.   

- Support Sales/Revenue Growth - Develop strong working relationships with senior Sales/Finance teams to assure credit/collection strategies are in line with business objectives. Supports Sales growth plans by providing accurate assesments of customer's financial strength, as well as the finacial impact of the incremental growth.

- Build Talent/Teams - Build and motivate a team of skilled, professional Credit associates which are capable of implementing and delivering risk assessment analysis as required by Credit Policies.  Create developmental and succession plans for team members to promote retention and development of finance associates. 

 

Education:

 

 An undergraduate degree in a business related field (Finance, Accounting, Economics) is required

 An advanced degree in a business related field is a must

 

Experience:

 

 A minimum of 5 years successful finance leadership experience, with significant exposure to Credit/AR related functions, preferably in a regional or global environment.

Experience in credit assessment and anlysis, involving varied and complex financial statements.

Strong knowledge of corporate financial statement with the ability to interpret from a Credit risk perspective.

Knowledge of various types of security utilized in European countries.

Good working knowlege of all Microsoft applications, with SAP experience desirable.

Experience in designing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls.

Candidate should be fluent in English.

Excellent communicator both orally and written, that can present views in a clear and compelling manner; ability to bring resolution to issues that are sometimes confrontational. 

Must be an excellent team player and leader to find resolutions to problems that may not be obvious, often under significant time constraints.
