Application Systems Senior Analyst

The Goodyear Tire and Rubber company is seeking a motivated individual who will play a crucial role in in delivery and maintenance of an integrated CAD (Computer Aided Design) platform within our organization. You will work with a cross-functional, cross-continental group of mechanical, and IT engineers to support value creation in a global R&D organization.  

Primary Responsibilities 

• Work at the intersection of the operating system, servers, storage, and network to support CAD platform and troubleshoot issues. 

• Collaborate within cross-functional, cross-continental R&D organization. 

• Maintain and patch existing systems.  

• Coordinate infrastructure changes with internal and external partners. 

• Ensure the environment is secure and follows the organizational and industry standards. 

• Proactively monitor systems, driving consistent availability. 

• Maintain disaster recovery plans. 

• Regular work in CET time zone hours. Production-environment changes outside of the business working hours. 

Required Education and Experience 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science. 

• 3-5 years of demonstrated experience managing CAD system infrastructure. 

• Basic experience with CAD system from the system administrator’s perspective (CATIA, Creo, NX or other). 

• Experience in one of the following domains would be an advantage: remote access systems, PLM infrastructure, AWS infrastructure, DevSecOps. 

Skills & Abilities 

• Operating systems (good Windows Server and Windows client systems, basic Linux). 

• Basic network and security skills. 

• Basic scripting skills (one of popular languages: powershell, bash or python). 

• Good planning and troubleshooting skills. 

• Efficient communication and customer service skills. 

• Participate as an active team member, practice effective listening and effective collaboration skills. 

• Attention to detail and commitment to timely, high quality and error free deliverables. 

• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment. 

• Proactive in managing issues and problems, comfortable with ambiguity.
