About the Position

The HR Specialist position will provide HR generalist support to the NA Manufacturing by assisting in the creation of and coordination of various HR programs, processes and initiatives. More specifically, this position will support Human Resources Teams (both regional and plants) in key responsibility areas: Employee Relations, Compensation, succession planning, talent acquisition, workforce planning and analytics, GTMS & Workday. This position will also function as an HR resource to business partners on the Regional team and Manufacturing plants and all associates across the Manufacuturing footprint. Additionally, it will perform particular administrative functions to process transaction ensuring the accuracy of the HR system.   

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze key HR Performance Metrics, looking for actionable trends.  Create relevant regular reports and recommendations for organizational intervention based on performance indicators.
  • Administers HR programs and processes across in Manufacturing. Examples include, but are not limited to, the MLDP programs, Anniversary/Stay and exit interviews, Performance Development Process, and Calibration.
  • Assess the workforce through approved mechanisms (engagement survey, ext survey, etc.) and review engagement trends.  Make recommendations and work with Leadership team to improve overall manufacturing culture and engagement. 10% Maintains the headcount reports for Manufacturing at Regional & Plant level. Maintains the list of approved position descriptions and creates new descriptions as needed.
  • Interpreting human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards and explaining them to new and existing associates.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • PHR Certification desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience responsible for a combination of talent acquisition, performance management, compensation administration, succession planning, employee relations, etc. Must have a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills; Strong interpersonal skills; advanced analytical skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.  Managing conflicting priorities is critical to success.  Ability to extract data from HR Systems to convey business issues. Working knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel and Word.
