  • Record time and receiving information on proper forms.  Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations, and unusual conditions to manager.  Observe all prescribed safety practices and maintain equipment and work area in a neat and orderly condition.  Perform other related duties as assigned or directed.
  • Perform duties involved in operating the Physical Test Lab.  Coordinate testing, identify nonconforming materials and test results, coordinate re-testing, report results to quality and production.  Ensure necessary stock is tested and released in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of quality specifications.  Inspect component products or material during processing or receiving for quality checks such as temperature, physical appearance, weight, color, layers of fabric, building specifications, etc.  Gather and record data, figure averages and plot information on quality control charts.  Originate rejection tags and inform quality and production.  Arrange tests to confirm quality before releasing to production.  Gather special data as required by Quality Assurance, Production or Development to detect and eliminate causes for quality problems.  Check on disposition of non-conforming stock to assure quality of additional material is not in jeopardy.
  • Build, cure, and analyze tires for thermocouple studies.  Utilize computer generated reports for analysis and verification that all quality standards are being achieved.  Properly document and report on mandated compliance standards.  Weigh and measure tire gauges in critical to quality areas.  Assist with analysis and disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Associate is responsible for programming recipes by individual tire code, including setting up recipes and teaching tires in each Xray to screen tires to GQMTS specifications.  Analyze new and developemnt tires to program and set recipes for screening tires.  Reviewing and analyzing tire performance to ensure reliable and consistent screening of tire codes for machine to machine variation.  This includes adjust recipes and program to minimize "false" rejects.  Perform quarterly Check Tire calibration checks.  Screen and disposition tires into GYMENU for quality associates to review.  Perform duties involved in keeping production flow through Final Inspection.

Education and Certifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Desired - 2 year technical school



  • 0 or more years experience in manufacturing or quality/technology field



  • Must have excellent safety, attendance & workmanship records.
  • Ability to comunicate to staff and production associates in test and quality check results.
