Position Description:

The Project Manager Global HRIS Strategy and Project Excellence is responsible for the management of HRIS projects to include managing project budgets, resources (internal and/or external), timelines, risks and third-party vendors. She/he is responsible for overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. In addition, the Project Manager Global HRIS Strategy and Project Excellence helps establish change management and project management best practices within the global HRIS community that ensure a focus on value-added projects and activities aligned to HR and company strategy. This includes to help define, document and, where possible, automate internal HRIS work processes that ensure clear accountability and responsibility resulting in optimal service levels.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager Global HRIS Strategy and Project Excellence, the Global Senior IT Team Leader HR and the global HRIS Managers with translating business objectives into HRIS projects with clearly defined scope, timing, deliverables, resources, and key measures of success. Help define, document and, where possible, automate internal HRIS work processes that ensure clear accountability and responsibility resulting in optimal service levels.
  • Project initiation: Formulate and continually re-assess the appropriate project management approach and project management skill set / resourcing mix across internal and external partners to ensure all project tasks are successfully completed. Ensure the creation of project plans, including timelines and milestones. Negotiate sufficient resources from HR sub-teams, IT, Corporate Communications, business units, and other groups as appropriate. Effectively set and communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Define project success criteria and communicate to team throughout project life cycle.
  • Project Execution: Manage ongoing project plans, budgets, resources and vendors. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations. Proactively manage and communicate ongoing changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans. Coach, mentor, motivate and lead HRIS and project team members. Influence to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Change Management: Identify all stakeholders, both direct and indirect, and determine level of involvement needed for project success. Work closely with Global HRIS team, Change Management Manager and Corporate Communications to ensure appropriate change management activities are defined and included in all project plans.
  • Post-Implementation Transition and Evaluation: Conduct project post go-live evaluations and create recommendations in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Ensure comprehensive and seamless project post-implementation transition.
       

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business, or Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified Project Manager (PMP, CAPM, CSM, PRINCE2, CPM or equivalent) preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading HRIS Projects or Programs.
  • Experience working with Multinational and Multilingual Teams (desired).
  • Experienced in managing Projects or Programs by leveraging standard industry Project Management Frameworks (e.g. - PMBOK) and Software Development Lifecycle Methodology (e.g. - Agile, Waterfall, etc.) (desired).
  • Advanced experience with HR Project Management Tools and Methods to include Risk Management, Project Planning and Change Management (desired). 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Demonstrates effective Project Management Skills through the development of project plans, resource allocation, plan execution, consistent communications (with Project Team Members/Stakeholders), status reviews and delivery of agreed upon results. Working knowledge of Human Resource systems, processes, trends, and best practices. Demonstrates innovation, flexibility, open-mindedness and adaptability in order to meet objectives in a rapidly changing environment with shifting priorities.
