Key responsibilities of the role:

 

  • Partner with Business Unit leaders to drive profitable growth using best in class advanced data analytic approaches and tools.
  • Set objectives, obtain leadership buy in and direct team resources to implement and deliver advanced quantitative solutions and econometric models.
  • Collaborate with markets and use Goodyear and external best practice to forecast category growth to feed strategic and operational planning, considering unprecented marketplace events such as macro-economic shifts, mobility developments and major competitive changes
  • Lead the development of internal capabilities in the use of syndicated and internal data sources (retail panels (GfK), industry association's data (ETRMA), mobility data, etc.) and makes sure they are combined and synthesized with business, economic and category and consumer insights to provide a clear understanding of present and future growth drivers. Is responsible for the relationship with syndicated data providers.

To join our team you will need:

 

 

Experience

  • Minimum 10/12 years working experience in market research preferably at an FMCG and/or Automotive/Tire Industry
  • 5/8 years in forecasting/business planning/advanced analytics in increasing responsibility positions
  • Experience in working at a strategic level, leveraging knowledge to influence short and long-term business decisions
  • Well-versed in statistical methods and able to build simple mathematical models
  • Familiar with forward looking/predictive/early indicators analytics and advanced analytics methods (category forecasting, marketing mix, pricing, price elasticities, discrete choice, media modelling)
  • Experience in leading, coaching and developing advanced analytics talent
  • Work experience agency side in syndicated data or advanced analytics a plus

 

 

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience in the use of leading-edge insights approaches and technologies
  • Agile in managing diversity and complexity across markets, cultures, functions
  • Must be able to deal with ambiguity and find creative solutions to problems
  • Strong team management, excellent leadership and influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of syndicated data sources such as retail panels (GfK, Nielsen, IRI) and expert use of different types of databases
  • Knowledge of media and promotions effectiveness measurement. Understanding of Pricing tools and approaches. Geo-marketing knowledge and/or experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present to various group sizes
  • Ability to work well with others and participate in multifunctional work
