Material & Production Flow Specialist - Mercury (m/f)

The opportunity:

Currently we are looking for Material & Production Flow Specialist to join our team in Mercury factory in Luxembourg. On this position you will:


  • Maintain and improve facility pull system. Set accurate Kanban settings the plant floor associates can use to manufacture needed product. Highlight potential shortages impact and if necessary, escalate
  • Daily Production control and inventory management (raw materials, Work in Progress and finished goods)
  • Control the system-generated short-term material order plan and prepare a long-term material order plan (mold ordering, compound and treatment ordering, raw material ordering)
  • Plan development items (trials, test runs) New Product Industrialization.
  • Create necessary shopping cards, waste management, organize tire shipment.  


To join our team you will need:



The candidate should have a degree bachelors in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.


Proficiency in English and one other European language.



  • Overall +7 years of experience in manufacturing
  • 4+ years experience in flow management (manufacturing) and supply chain
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement / Zero Loss Concept / Lean production environment
  • Familiarity with control systems, such as Production Scheduling and Monitoring System (PSMS), or similar
  • Knowledge of elements that make up the plant material flow 
  • Knowledge of tire technology a plus
  • Continual learner, as evidenced by the application of knowledge gained through additional education, experiences and/or training
  • Experience in cross functional assignment or project work


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background and understanding of product delivery systems, including traditional scheduling systems, Kanban systems, sequencing and Pull systems
  • Good knowledge of SAP and (desired) manufacturing execution system
  • Very  strong analytical skills & excellent process understanding
  • Willingness to change and improve at very high pace
  • Ability to guide, mentor and train others
  • Collaborative, combined with the ability to influence and work in a team environment
