Quality Technician

The opportunity:

We are looking for Quality Technician to join our Mercury Plant in Dudelange. You will have the opportunity to join a multinational team for a new factory using innovative technology and state of the art equipment. Within that team you will be responsible for executing and coordinating quality activities, in particular:

  • Training, guidance, coordination & control all members of the Quality staff in the shift
  • Operational quality management within the current shift, monitoring and evaluation of quality results (waste, recovery, TU), root cause analysis, initiation and monitoring of remedial actions
  • Coordinate decisions to be made with team leader and support team, sharing information with management
  • Collaboration to ensure a fast, stable and predictable process flow when a tire size is started or restarted in production. Collaboration in case of test tires build and the intro-duction of new products in the production, protection or monitoring of associated algorithms
  • Analyze the technological process and derive measures to improve the effectiveness, quality and productivity of the entire manufacturing process

 

To join our team you will need:

Education:

  • Technical high school diploma or Bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, industrial engineering, chemistry or equivalent apprenticeship

 

Languages:

  • The candidate needs to have a good level of English. German and/or French will be considered as an asset

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in quality assurance in the tire industry
  • Team coordination experience desired

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate both manual and automated industrial machinery
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions in response to quality issues.
  • Good data analysis skills and familiarity with quality metrics and charts
  • Ability to follow documented procedures.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers
  • Sense of urgency to resolve issues, self-initiative
  • Position requires shift, evening, night and weekend work assignments
