RELIABILITY ENGINEER FOR OUR GOODYEAR MERCURY PLANT-DUDELANGE (M/F) 

 

The opportunity
You will have the opportunity to join a multinational team for a new factory using innovative technology and state of the art equipment. 
Reporting to our Engineering Manager, the Reliability Engineer will drive the reliability improvement projects though the facility. This position will establish/execute RE related downtime reduction to continuously improve equipment uptime, Mean Time Between Failure and Mean Time To Repair. The incumbent will oversee/continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance systems. The candidate will define an execute a plan to drive development of our maintenance staff, enhancing their technical and trouble shooting skills.   
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the RE related downtime reduction plan.
  • Lead development of technical skills and troubleshooting capabilities of our technicians in all shifts in order to ensure appropriate and adequate skill sets coverage at all time.
  • Analyze and drive optimization of the costs associated with maintenance activities.
  • Analyze downtime information and implement robust solutions to repetitive problems.
  • Drive systematic usage of comprehensive Zero Failure Analysis, ensure that communication process is followed.
  • Support execution of projects and equipment upgrades as required.

 
To join our team, you will need: 

 

Education:

Master degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering. Bachelor with significant professional experience would be considered.

 

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience in engineering / maintenance role in an industrial environment.
  • Experience in leading continuous reliability improvement initiatives including preventive / predictive maintenance systems.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience as people leader would be considered as an asset.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

  • Requires the ability to direct cross functional work groups to achieve overall equipment reliability objectives, plant goals and timelines. 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, experience with SAP PM and big data analysis tools like Braincube.
  • Strong communication, analytical and planning skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge is required (technical drawing, pneumatic, hydraulic, …), according to diploma. 
  • Having or willing to develop people management skills short to mid-term.
  • Resilience, “can do” attitude, open minded, ready to challenge the status quo.
  • Language: Fluency in English and French is a must, all other EU language would be considered as an asset.
