Senior HR Business Partner - Dudelange Plant

The opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Senior HR Business Partner for our Plant in Dudelange. On this position you will:

  • Build Organizational Capability by being the strategic HR partner to all levels of the business on recruitment (attract, retain, build); people development, performance and team management; succession planning and talent mapping.
  • As a member of the Plant Leadership Teams, drive Associate Engagement and support the creation of a culture of Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Be the first point of contact and subject matter expert on HR processes, policies, legal matters and advise the business leaders accordingly to support them in their decision making. Manage union relationship in a constructive way.
  • Drive Operational Excellence & Plant Optimization forward by leading the implementation of the CSD pillar.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operational/tactical - HR support and advice to management on human resource matters such as : absenteeism management process, HR casework, application of standardized HR Tools, disciplinary actions plan, reward & recognition system, influence decisions on HR orientation, etc. 
  • Strategic - Partner role with middle management/team leaders/PLT on : org design and workforce planning, performance and team management, standard leadership development process(succession planning) and retention risks, emphasize safety as a value, headcount and resources planning to AOP, occupational health matters.
  • Lead CSD PO pillar implementation at plant level to ensure alignment and progress. Monitor pillar progress on KPI's. Report progress and results to plant and regional leadership. Maintain and track KPI’s. 
  • Enhance and maintain collaboration with Works Council/Union driven by PLT to allow a sustainable and competitive operation with a peaceful union environment.
  • Lead and manage HR and business projects: Worday implementation, Stabilization of 4shift system, Engagement Survey action items to develop an engaged work force, create a concrete communication strategy, support strategic initiatives. 
  • Promote Operation Excellence culture within an environment that it diverse and inclusive.

Education: 
The Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Management, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field or an equivalent experience. A Master degree is desired.

 

Languages:
Fluent in English & French (German & Luxembourgish are considered as a strong asset).

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years of generalist experience in Human Resources and Talent Management
  • 2+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in a Union environment and in leading union negotiations
  • Demonstrated, measurable improvements in labor relations, staffing, talent management and compensation

 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Strong knowledge and ensuring compliance with Labor Law, Social Security and all Labor regulations
  • Strong knowledge of HR related disciplines: Performance Management, Staffing, Talent Development, Compensation, Labor relations
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement & lead talent management programs
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills (Servant Leader)
  • Strong Problem-solving skills and mentality
  • Courageous and willing to make decisions
  • Collaborative style and ability to influence
  • Open minded, pro-active and able to drive change
  • High sense of urgency and ability to deal with multiple and/or conflicting priorities
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) at all levels of the organization
