Senior Technician - Replace Shiftleader

The opportunity

Currently we are looking for Senior Technician for our Mercury plant (Dudelange). On this position you will have the opportunity to:

• Be part of an innovative, highly automated tire production plant in collaboration with a diverse, international team
• Work with the latest technology in a digitalized environment
• Develop your skills on preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, including mechanical, electrical maintenance and maintenance of industrial automation systems (PLCs)
• Seek and implement new ideas to drive safety, quality, and reliability and productivity
• Grow in your career as a permanent shift leader by leading a team of skilled technicians

Your responsibilities:

• Drive to zero equipment breakdown by implementing best practices and preventative maintenance
• Operate workstations as needed to support daily production.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair breakdowns, equipment malfunctions and deteriorations.
• Support development of training materials related to machine reliability and operations. Train others on machine/equipment setup and operations.
• Manage Identification and implementation of improvements for increased productivity
• Be responsible to manage spart parts and preventive maintenance plan
• Management and implementation of corrective maintenance (red tags)
• Monitoring of production performances of own area 
• Replace the shift leader in case of absence, lead the team and assure performance in terms of safety, quality, delivery and cost

To join our team you will need: 

Education

• Bachelor in mechatronics / automation / electrical engineering or a technical degree with equivalent experience

Languages

• Good knowledge of English. French and or German are considered an asset 

Experience

• Shift leading experience is considered an asset
• 5+ years of working experience in manufacturing environment is a considerable asset
• EtherNet/IP Network experience desired

Other skills

• Good problem-solving skills and self-initiative
• Knowledge of PLCs
• Ability to troubleshoot / improve mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers
• Sense of urgency and commitment to resolve issues.
• Position requires shift, evening, night and weekend work assignments
• Desire to coach junior team associates, develop situational leadership skills, take responsibility of shift results
