Position Title:       Manager Compliance & Payroll


Primary Role:  Reporting to the Plant Head – HR Ballabgarh, this position has overall responsibility for establishing and running harmonious employee relations for maintaining high level of productivity amongst associates at the Ballabgarh Plant.

The position is responsible to work in partnership with the Factory cross functional team on HR planning and delivery, aligning business objectives with associates and management team.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition: Responsible to build organizational capability through effective staffing , partner with  management team & COE to fill critical roles drafting briefs, internal/external sourcing and logistics
New associate on-boarding/orientation: Deliver effective on-boarding to new hires at Factory in collaboration with Training & other functions.
Talent Management:
1) Training & Development - Identify & execute key skill building activities for frontline supervisors and Audits.
2) Learning & Development: Support functions with Country/Region interventions on Training.
3) Succession Planning: Build the Plant Talent Management & succession plan in collaboration with Plant Leadership.

Associate Engagement:
1) Organize associate engagement activities to ensure a satisfied and committed workforce. Birthday Celebrations, Reward & Recognition, Town halls, Festivals get-togethers etc.
2) Taking care of welfare benefits to the salaried associates at the due time pertaining Uniform, Shoes, Jersey, Scholarship awards, Service awards, Family day gift etc.

 Business Partnering:
1) Provide HR support to the Business Team Managers in consultation with Plant Head-Production.
2) Interaction with production management and employees union on day-to-day basis

Management Reporting:
1) Information requirement of Country & Region: Communicate regularly on progress of HR business parameters with Plant Stakeholders/Country HR & Regional Manufacturing HR. Manning reports through Country HR to Region (monthly, quarterly and yearly).
2) Annual Business Planning: Provide inputs on HR plan to support Business performance in order to arrive at a robust Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Viz. headcount, cost etc.

HR MIS / Presentations:

Define, track, analyze and report all HR initiatives MIS. Support all key internal presentations like Regional Manufacturing HR Reviews (Talent Management / Staffing / Learning & Development), Regional Visits etc.

Employee Relations:

Responsible for handling of all negotiations, disciplinary action, welfare activities, grievances handling, and recruitment of Hourly Associates and personnel administration (internal transfers/confirmations/promotions).

Policies & Procedures:

Support Plant Head-HR in formulation of all Plant level personnel procedures confirming to the Company policies and also ensure effective implementation.


Strategic Support for:

1) Plant Housekeeping,  2) Requests for loans thru banks (hourly)

3) Company loans for Education / daughter's marriage (hourly), 4) Implementation of benevolent fund scheme

5) Holding of Employees Union Elections, 6) Merit Scholarship functions

7) Interpretation and implementation of CBA


Settlements & Statutory Compliances:

Assist the Plant Head - HR in Long Term Settlement/Contract negotiations and also helps in maintaining the direct liaison with all external agencies like Labour Department, District Authorities, Police Department, PF/ESI authorities and other government agencies. Also responsible for all Statutory/Legal Compliances.                

Associate Litigation: Participates in all conciliation/Court proceedings.  Also responsible for all internal communication & feedback.                                                                                                                      

Grievance Management: Deals with all matters relating to Industrial Relations, grievance handling of all divisions in factory relates to Hourly/Salary Staff and also coordinates independently with various departments to solve their various day-to-day HR issues.

Assist management in recruitment of hourly associates and  verification of documents Maintain supply of Casual / Contract labor in accordance with established budgets for such in-take including man-power supply against absenteeism.


Education: MSW/ MBA / Equivalent PG Degree / Diploma (LLB will be a plus)

Experience: 12+ Yrs
