Basic Role:  Procurement Operations Lead, Ballabgarh

• Managing the entire Procurement Activities of the plant as a plant procurement leader.
• Procurement to include Energy/Utilities, MRO (Engineering spares, Operating supplies), Manufacturing Services, Retail and Professional Services.
• Position also responsible for the Capital goods procurement and handles all the activities related to daily plant operations.
• Position will be the plant Procurement Operations leader to lead the team to deliver as per the expectations of the Management.
• Position should be well acquainted with the knowledge of procurement systems and policies, SAP (SRM) and expert in MS Office.
• Position is also responsible to manage Scrap Disposal contract and rate finalizations
• Executes sourcing strategies within geographical scope, ensuring consistency with Global Indirect category strategies for all Categories for Ballabgarh.
• Develop negotiation strategy for local negotiations across Ballabgarh plants and actively lead the local contract negotiations as required based on criticality or complexity.
• Leads change management efforts within geographical area of responsibility and drive improvements.
• Ensures appropriate and effective communication occurring at all organizational levels and also at the local leadership levels with consistent follow up and messaging. Will be a member of the plant leadership team
• Develops relationships with local and regional suppliers to support business needs and the overall Global Procurement supplier segmentation strategy.
• Responsibility of long-term contracts for the plant and knowledge of RFQ/tendering process 
• Associate to attend the local Leadership meeting and bring forth action items with the Regional Procurement related to Indirect procurement to drive projects across the plant and deliver savings to meet the business goals of the plant.
• Drive the overall efficiency of the Procurement Operations Savings projects for all Indirect categories for Ballabgarh.
• Position to be equipped with the knowledge of importing Spares and other materials and for the smooth operations of the plant along with the overview of Customs formalities
• Should be having knowledge of planning of material as per the consumption pattern and plant requirements

Experience:

• 12-15 years of Procurement experience in large scale / multinational / multi geography organization in Indirect Procurement (Energy/Utilities, MRO/Engineering spares, Capital goods and Services)
• Strong understanding of overview of Strategic Sourcing / Indirect Category Management and strong Procurement Operations Role
• Cross functional project leadership experience.
• Experience in a related industry preferred.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

• Proficient in negotiation abilities, application of strategic sourcing process, Project Management, Change Management, Excellent communication skills (technical, non-technical), Proficient in interpreting and analyzing financial statements.
• Excellent in English and local languages, strong in financial / statistical analysis, organization skills, Microsoft Excel skills, collaborative facilitation and influence skills, self-directing with ability to work in a very fast paced, multi-tasking environment.                                                                 

The role of Procurement Operations Lead acts as a business partner for Manufacturing leadership at Ballabgarh, Faridabad plant to interpret requirements and deploy resources at the local level to deliver and meet business needs and Procurement financial goals. Serves as the collaborative connection amongst local procurement operations, Global strategic sourcing and Global shared services to ensure strategic, operational, and transactional activities are delivered to meet business objectives.
