Principal Responsibility:


Reporting to the Manager -Employee Relations and Welfare in Human Resources department, Ensure compliance as per the Factories Act’1948 and Punjab factory Rules.


Primary Purpose of Position:


•  To establish contents and hold consolations with a view the maintaining harmonious relation between the factory management and workers.

•  To maintain and control on welfare facilities such as canteen, shelters for rest, crèches, adequate latrine facilities, drinking water sickness and benevolent scheme, payment etc.

•  To suggest measures which will serve to raise the standard of living of workers and general promote their well -being.

•  Administering and initiation the suggestion scheme and help-desk for associates for promote healthy culture among the associates.

•  Creating the Grievance handling framework and timely review and ensure timely closure of grievances as per framework.

•  Educating associates about Govt. Welfare scheme and ensure the maximum people are benefited out of those schemes by keeping liasioning with concerned authorities

•  To secures welfare provisions. such as washroom facilities, food stuffs social and recreational facilities sanitation advise on individual’s personal problems and education of children.

•  To establish liaison with factory inspector and the Medical services concerning medical services of employees, health records, supervision of hazardous jobs sick visiting and prevention and supervision of safety education, investigations of accidents, maternity benefits and workmen compensations.


Required Experience:


•  MSW / Diploma from the recognized institute by State Government for the purpose of recruitment of welfare officer under the Factories Act 1948.

•  Over 6~8 years’ experience in any a big manufacturing Industry (+2000 employees) & have exposure of working in Unionized environment

•  Has background in total employee involvement, employee engagement and initiatives, training and development

•  Must have knowledge of Indian local level laws
