About the Position:
A successful, hands-on team leader with a strong track record in waste and cost troubleshooting across manufacturing plants. Demonstrated expertise in leading the implementation of technology transfers and new product launches to plants, ensuring smooth, trouble-free integration. This role provides critical support to North American facilities by collaborating with plant QTECH engineers and corporate teams, including Tire Technology, Engineering Applications, and Purchasing. Serving as a key technical resource, the position bridges technology systems, computer systems, and quality systems with manufacturing processes and products, with the ability to work independently and effectively.
Job Duties:
- Implement products, processes, methods that meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Support evaluation of products, processes, methods and obtain results.
- Contribute to manufacture of quality products and processes.
- Communicate and solve problems by interpreting and analyzing data.
- Translate product needs to experimental data or design parameters.
- Work with teams and product groups to bring technology to market
- Obtain required training and skill development for position specific skills and personal development.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or in lieu of degree 11 + years of equivalent technical experience
Experience:
- Experience working with Siemens and Allen Bradley desired
- Work experience in more than one plant preferred.
- Work experience in corporate function preferred.
- Work experience in multiple functions at the plant.
- Performed technical work in plant recently (within 10 years).
- 6 + years Goodyear or relevant experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Detailed knowledge of how work is accomplished in a plant.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of products & processes.
- Knowledge of corporate functional relationships.
- Ability to organize, coordinate & communicate information in area of expertise.
