The Industrial Engineering Manager is accountable for the  application and implementation of approved Industrial Engineering procedures, output standards, and practices in a large (2000+ associates), unionized, manufacturing environment. Through the management and leadership of a team of Industrial Engineers, the manager is responsible to establish plant manning requirements; determine plant equipment capacities versus requirements; provide productivity improvement recommendations through studies and analysis; and provide responsive IE support to all manufacturing initiatives.



  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering
  • Require 6 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have prior managerial/leadership experience.
  • Ability to use appropriate computer-based technology.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Prefer knowledge of analytical processes, such as MOST and lean production methodologies
  • Excellent communicative skills to positively interface with a diverse employee population



  • Develop and install time and work standards through appropriate analysis and system application.
  • Provide standard cost routing data to the financial department.
  • Develop and maintain the plant manning requirements and active manning reports in conjunction with plant capacities, production forecasts and union contractual requirements.
  • Lead a team of three Industrial Engineers to accomplish all required activities and provide the responsive support required by the business centers. Prioritize projects and support activities in coordination with both plant and corporate leadership.
  • Respond to requests for information from both corporate engineering activities and plant leadership.
  • Develop the professional and technical skills of the engineers assigned to your department
  • Conduct daily interface with plant leadership, peers and plant associates.
  • Maintain effective, professional relations with union leadership
