Technology Engineer Associate

• Ensure product and quality system integrity
• Implement new products and processes; resolve product performance issues
• Provide expertise and guidance in all aspects of tire component creation, testing and rubber evaluation in the tire making process to ensure product conformance to standards and requirements
• Interface with production, quality and maintenance associates to ensure product conformity
• Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to improve and standardize processes and procedures

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering related discipline. Prefer backgrounds in material science, polymer mechanics and mechanical measurements
• Prefer two years' experience working with multidisciplinary Engineering, Production and Maintenance processes in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills
• Ability to use appropriate computer-based technology
• Ability to utilize Quality Control standards such SPC, PPAP, PFMEA, APQP and MSA
• Ability to utilize problem solving tools suchs 3L5Y and 8D
• Ability to read, understand and apply technical drawings, specifications and procedures in manufacturing environment

• Qualify new and different raw materials and technologies to support process improvement and new product development
• Perform activities involving continuous improvement tools, analysis of product irregularities, implementing solutions and facilitating cost down initiatives related to improving product cost and performance. These duties would include assisting in training and instruction of appropriate team members and day-to-day floor support
• Identify unacceptable performance through data gathering and/or analysis and technical knowledge of the product and process including waste and cost reduction
• Perform activities that involve issuing reports, conducting product quality audits, issuing and dispositioning product holds, maintaining and interpreting product, process and material specifications related to maintaining and improving the rubber product quality within the manufacturing process
• Interact with auditors and interal and external customers on quality standards
