Business Development Manager - Commercial Replacement


Location: North of the UK

This position is homebased mainly covering the North of the United Kingdom with some requirement to attend meetings at the Goodyear Head Office in Birmingham.


The Role


You will develop sales of Goodyear corporate brand truck tyres through local and regional fleets.  You will also be managing all dealer activities to ensure that our fleet customers receive best in class service. This will be achieved through the independent dealers, wholesaler network and local/regional fleets. Activities will include but are not restricted to:


  • Dealer and Customer pipeline creation and management in support of increased market share and sales targets as appropriate
  • Accurate forecasting of sales to your allocated dealers and brands and activities in support of sales and market share achievement
  • Territory planning in support of achieving targets for your dealers and customers as well as best practice sharing and implementing process improvements to optimise territory profitability
  • Dealer network and customer training support as required
  • Ensuring that our Network partners are working in line with our Truckforce Network standards and KPIs
  • Onboarding of new dealers in support of Key Account and PPK accounts
  • Managing all dealer activities to ensure that our Key Account and PPK customers and all related activities in support of fleet KPIs/SLAs
  • Promote and utilise corporate solutions and services including Goodyear Proactive Solutions
  • Systems maintenance as required including CRM system maintenance


Skills, Education & Experience


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially excel.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A business-related degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • B2B Sales experience – new and existing business, preferably in the UK tyre, logistics or commercial vehicle industry would be advantageous.
  • Account management experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication skills.
