Regional TruckForce Manager North

Primary Purpose of the Position

  • To operationally lead, develop and manage the TruckForce Hub network within a set geographical area comprising of approx. 6 Hubs with 100 operational staff and vans supporting the Goodyear UK commercial business.
  • Full P&L responsibility and accountability for ensuring all First in Service KPIs are met and improved.
  • Overall responsibility for a regional hub Network that will facilitate the fitment of 60000 commercial tyres per annum to our customers with our key focus delivering an overall reduction in the total cost of ownership through industry leading service and husbandry.
  • To drive the TruckForce team and set an example for the organisation in areas of capability development and driving aligned values and behaviours and promote and engagement, coaching and developmental culture.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for and lead your respective Hubs to fulfil their operational objectives and targets, whilst ensuring all elements of Model Hub scoring are met and rigorously reviewed, improved and adhered to.
  • Health and Safety business leader ensuring the safety-first mindset in instilled in all associates and leaders.  With “Safety as a value” continuously improving the culture as a key pillar of the no one gets hurt mindset.
  • Ensure full operational SLA expectations are met for each customer by driving standardized and uniformed approach across the TF network. Sharing best practices and engaging in cross functional collaboration to achieve strategic and business goals.
  • Engage the team through a supportive management style with a coaching growth mindset to support Hub managers and their teams to ensure all positions have succession plans in place.
  • Establish a development plan for the teams to make full use of all available development tools and courses.
  • A member of the TruckForce Lead team contributing to and assisting the setting of the strategic direction of the business.
  • Drawing on the key support functions within the business to achieve plans goals and objectives.

 

  • Ensure the current stock control process is in place and checks are completed on time and in full.  Ensure all anomalies are fully investigated in line with policies.
  • Ensure a strong audit plan are in place for Model Hub, Health and Safety, Behavioural audits to ensure operational standards are maintained.
  • Investigate health and safety / HR incidents.
  • Support the TruckForce Equity Manager to execute strategic plans and projects.
  • Problem solving operational and customer service challenges to deliver our commitments.
  • Inform the development of operational IT systems to improve operational efficiency.
  • Must be able to spend time away from home to provide operational supports to the Hub.
  • Proactive total mobility solutions integration to our DNA.

To join our team, you will need:

Experience

  • Previous experience in a management role, preferable spanning a regional or geographical area.
  • Professional Qualification in Business or related topic is desired. On the job experience is required.
  • Previous hands-on operational customer management and interaction.
  • Previous experience of accurately interpreting P&Ls and formulating applicable action plans.
  • Previous experience of working in complex people management scenarios - including coaching, developing and engaging remote or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Management role in the commercial truck/trailer market or related field would be desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent influencing skills.
  • An ability to focus, identify, prioritise, quantify and measure actions.
  • In depth knowledge of the UK Fleet market.
  • Tyre management knowledge.
  • Coaching mindset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
