Primary Purpose of the Position
As a Sales Representative for Motorcycle UK, you will be response for:
- The development of the sale of Goodyear products and services to customers in the defined area of responsibility (territory/product/channel). This involves identifying, analysing and raising the customer potential.
- Achieving sales and profit objectives for all Goodyear brands/product range/services in the assigned area of responsibility (territory/product/channel) in line with company goals and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
- The establishment and development of productive long-term customer relationships. Provides consulting related support, development and expansion of customers within the assigned area of responsibility (territory/product/channel).
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Search for and open new customers and end-users, like commercial fleets (for commercial), in respected area of responsibility (territory/channel/product group), acting as a business consultant, building lasting productive relationships with them.
- Support and advise the existing customer and (end-user like commercial fleets for commercial) in a consulting approach with respect to inventory/planning, product range, market development, fleet approach (for commercial) and pricing in connection with the sales manager:
- Advising the customers in economic and commercial questions.
- Sell-out support (Disclose selling potential, regional competition analysis, fleet offer).
- Implementation of sales targets for each customer, product mix and gross profit mix optimization and related services.
- Defining measures to increase the SoM for the respective channel and the SoB the Goodyear brands.
- Is responsible for the development and implementation of regional marketing concepts as well as consulting approach to implement overall channel strategy (including fleets where applicable). Coordination and implementation of sales promotion and brand promotion activities. Control and tracking of all activities, measures and contacts as well as a written documented performance review.
- Supports the Sales Manager to monitor the sales performance of the assigned area of responsibility (territory/product/channel) vs sales targets.
- Communicates short term deviations from targets in the assigned area of responsibility (territory/product/channel) towards his sales manager. Reports regularly and comprehensively about the business situation and development.
- Acts as first point of contact for other Sales Reps for advice and guidance. They act as natural mentors for their colleagues, building upon their industry / market knowledge and high-level executional skills. Support them in sales techniques and skills (e.g. REASON), product and technical skills.

Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical/commercial field.
Experience:
- 2-5 years sales experience in a similar role and industry or consulting business (i.e. technical products/automotive industry).
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- Motorcycle business knowledge and a passion for motorsport is advantageous.
Knowledge & Skills:
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Fluent in English Language.
