Job Title: Sales Representative – Southwest

Primary purpose of the position:

You will manage a portfolio of retail and fleet customers, including service partners, within the Southwest territory, including South Wales, with the objective of growing the share of business and fleet fitment for the relevant Goodyear brands.  You will also develop business with new customers to grow the overall share of market in the territory.

Principle duties and responsibilities:

Manage each account to deliver improved share of business e.g. sales in, sales out, credit limits, marketing activity, KPI adherence, education and training.

  • Achieve sales objectives (volume, product mix and revenue by brand) by planning the business within the territory and working with customers to ensure objectives are achieved for both Goodyear and the customer.
  • Prepare and deploy an annual business plan using tools available for the territory and hold quarterly business review meetings with customers and the Head of Sales.
  • Understand the attributes of the brands and products that the Goodyear sells and educate customers and their employees.
  • Understand the UK tyre market and the wider automotive industry.  Share information and data to assist Goodyear to make informed decisions and gain a competitive advantage.

Who are we looking for?

  • A proven track record of account management (retail & fleet) and direct sales experience.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Experience in using CRM and online sales tools.
  • Good financial acumen.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build effective relationships.
  • Good written and numerical skills (minimum GCSE grade C in English and Mathematics and two A Levels or equivalent).
  • Competent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications e.g., Excel, Work, PowerPoint.
  • Travel within territory including on average 1 night per week away from home, and occasional travel to head office on average 1 day/night per month.
