    The production scheduler position is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient component schedules to the assigned production areas. They will engage with production leadership and work in cross-functional teams to ensure accurate inventories, planning daily schedules, and making quick and necessary adjustments to meet daily production needs. Responsibilities include developing the production schedules, analyzing data, supervise floor personnel as needed, and providing meaningful feedback to plant leadership. Proficiency will be accomplished through on-the-job training, formal training, and planned job rotation.

Job Duties:

• Ability to learn and execute fundamental scheduling techniques, methods, and procedures.
• Must be able to anticipate, adapt, and resolve issues quickly to meet production changes.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation of production schedule and requirements in multiple production areas.
• Able to forecast, plan, and organize productions schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor production as well as inventories and communicate updates, issues, and changes across the cross-functional teams.
• Make changes to production schedule in order to avoid/minimize downtime and curing losses.
• Provide critical information to members of the department at shift change either through verbal or written means.
• Perform supervisory duties as necessary to help facilitate and resolve problems.
• Must be able to comply with flexible work hours.
• May take either physical and/or electronic inventories of components, carcasses, and/or green tires and complete adjustments as required.
• May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.  Performs other various duties.

Schedule: This position will work a 2-2-3 work schedule (one week you work Monday, Tuesday, off on Wednesday, Thursday, Work on Friday-Sunday. Following week would be off on Monday, Tuesday, work on Wednesday, Thursday, Off on Friday-Sunday) The opening would be on a night crew working 5pm-5am

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Basic mathematical skills
• Display leadership abilities and an aptitude to GTD
• Good communication & problem-solving skills
• Previous scheduling or Supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree.
• Previous manufacturing experience or comparable work environment.
