Base Pay: $28.27 an hour.
$1,000 sign on bonus. $250 will be paid to eligible employees after the completion of their first week of employment. The remaining $750 will be paid to eligible employees after the completion of 90 days of employment. Candidate must be a new employee and not a rehire to be eligible.
The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for carrying out tasks to assist with extrusion and associated machinery, such as handling the layout, creation and modification of dies and fixtures. The ideal candidate will operate the following equipment to perform the necessary duties while maintaining inventory of records, materials, and equipment: wire welder, gas brazing, drill press, band saw, cut off-band saw, hydraulic press, portable grinder, rotary file, calipers, EDM.
- Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Dependable job attendance is expected.
Job specific details include, but are not limited to:
- Uses prints, sketches, specifications and/or samples to layout and create dies from blank material using necessary equipment to finished product
- Tests and alters dies to specifications initiated by Technical or Mill room team
- Performs repair work on damaged dies necessary for the extrusion process
- Performs miscellaneous duties required to maintain plant machinery
- Completes upkeep on EDM to ensure maximum cutting capabilities including preparing steel blanks, PM lists, resin changes, filter changes, wire changes, head breakdown
- Removes and discards all rubber samples and maintain clean work environment
Shift Information: 12-hr day shift (6 am-6 pm) with overtime available
- 2-2-3 work schedule (one week you would work Monday and Tuesday, Off on Wednesday and Thursday, then work Friday- Sunday. Following week would be the opposite - Off on Monday and Tuesday, Work Wednesday and Thursday, off on Friday-Sunday.)
Work Environment: Findlay, Ohio Plant
- The job is within a fast paced, heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within various areas of the factory.
- The job is within a climate-controlled shop environment.
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection, eye protection, and steel-toed shoes.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
- Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Hands on Tool and Die experience
- EDM and/or CNC experience
- Auto CAD program expereince
- SPC experience
