IT Section Leader

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The IT Section Leader will provide leadership and direction to a group of IT professionals responsible for operations and support activities, and some technical projects. The main objective is to provide support for our POS/ERP solution for Tire Dealers and Garages. This role combines strong leadership, technical expertise, and customer-focused thinking to drive high-quality service, team development, and operational excellence.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES (DUTIES) OF POSITION:

  1. Plan, coordinate, schedule assignments and projects with subordinates, and participate in establishing tactical plans.
  2. Perform managerial activities such as hiring, performance management processes, associate development, department staffing, budgeting, communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  3. Determine specific resources and skills required for on-going activities and provide leadership to staff all projects within area of responsibility.
  4. Ensure that IT operation standards, processes and procedures are executed.
  5. Monitor project development and communicate project progression frequently to upper management, staff, and customers.
  6. Be able to foster a high-performance, collaborative team environment by mentoring, coaching, and supporting individual growth and development.

 

RELEVANT TECHNICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE PERTAINING TO POSITION:

  • Good knowledge of IT field and good knowledge & technical expertise of Business Software and ERP solutions. Expertise of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (also known as Navision or NAV) nice to have but not mandatory.
  • Intermediate knowledge of management principles.
  • Preferable experience with Retail Business and Processes towards private and smaller commercial End-Consumers.
  • Preferable experience with Tire and Automotive industry in the area of Sales and Marketing.
  • Have the necessary leadership, team building, motivation, and delegation skills to efficiently coordinate the efforts of a team toward accomplishing a common goal.
  • Can inspire team commitment and enthusiasm. Has knowledge of creative means to recognize team and individual accomplishments.
  • Good presentation skills, and meeting leadership and facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

EDUCATION:

  • Solid education the field of IT/Computer Science and/or Business Administration and Processes.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 years of experience in the field of translating Business requirements into Digital solutions.
  • 3-5 years experience in project management / leadership roles for major development or operations projects.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in developing efficient and effective solutions to business problems.
  • Experience managing or working closely with customer-facing support teams, ensuring timely issue resolution and customer satisfaction.
