The Opportunity

 

  • Responsible for the Finance activities of OE Consumer. Acting as Finance Business Partner for the OE Consumer Business leader by providing financial and business support in the decision-making process.  
  • Support on strategic and management decisions with calculation of scenarios, execution of analysis and business cases including coordination across various functions. Consulting and support in all business matters from a financial point of view.
  • Prepare reports on consolidated analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results versus plan, forecast and previous year. Clear indication of root causes for deviations, understanding the story behind the numbers and the message behind the negotiations (when applicable).
  • Support in building and executing the KAM Playbook: Assist with the team in preparing, aligning and implementing OE Consumer plans and mid to long term OE Consumer strategies to reach the desired level of growth and profitability.    

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for the Finance activities within OE Consumer, including business support, investment analysis, financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, and internal controls. Assist on technical matters in corporate income tax returns. Review the tax provision and disclosures in the statutory accounts.
  • Support OE Consumer business leader in designing, aligning and implementing future OE strategies in order to drive volume and earnings.
  • Assisting business leader in the overall assessment of the P/L, by OEM and business support when required.
  • Set up and maintain reporting standards of the P/L, risk & opportunities, etc. using a flexible modeling way/tool, monitor targets and actuals (AOP and forecast) and integrate risks and opportunity scenarios. Provide ad-hoc financial analyses to support decision making process.
  • Build a close cooperation with the various local/markets sales and finance teams, ensuring a continued exchange of information and collaboration.
  • Support the development of team member, including career planning, and the utilization of a strong performance development process that aligns individual objectives with business metrics and connects performance, compensation, and career progression against those objectives.

Education:

  • University degree in BA/Economics/Finance
  • Advance degree (MBA or equivalent) would be desirable.

 

Experience:

  • Solid finance understanding (specifically in the area of business support finance and/or factory FP&A/controlling) and overall business experience in commercial environments.
  • At least 4 to 6 years’ experience in a relevant position with proven evidence of analytical skills with clear business acumen.
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams and in a matrix organization with ability to form teams.
  • Track record of achieving measurable tax objectives.

 

Knowledge and skills:

  • Truly business partnering role with very close collaboration with business.
  • Strong business acumen with broad base of financial knowledge with a balanced commercial mindset.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues/opportunities and propose solutions/alternatives in a pro-active manner.
  • Effective and good communication (written and verbal) at different levels of the organization with an ability to listen effectively and articulate.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and open mind
  •  Hands on’ understanding of GY processes and tools to work though the financial data and communicate these in a presentable manner.
