The opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our EMEA eCommerce community as Solution Architect, working side-by-side with a highly effective Digital Marketing team on development of modern technical solutions empowering our business, team and personal success. 
You will be joining our EMEA IT Customer Facing Team where you will have the opportunity to act as a subject matter expert, exercising and leveraging deep technical, consultative and influencing skills to engage with internal & external business counterparts. Through your daily responsibilities you will make use and hone your ability to rapidly understand business technical needs, how it enables current and future IT technology initiatives, and deliver back an insightful and innovative cross-functional and cross-platform system solution that targets those needs. 
As a Goodyear Solution Architect, you will proactively advise and contribute to the medium and long-term architecture planning in co-operation with the Technical Architecture team to support the IT Business Strategy.

 

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Have a complete ownership of the business and technology delivery including:
    • Demand analysis and assessment of business processes and the system landscape
    • Drafting, designing, planning, optimization of our E-Commerce system and the respective integration 
    • Design new or incrementally improve existing applications 
    • Coordination of technical implementation in eCommerce projects
    • Identification of dependencies between system, infrastructure and projects towards competing demands
    • Strategic selection of new technologies according to the business architecture
  • Actively provide transfer of knowledge on current / future technologies, as well as conducting cost/benefit analysis of tools through evaluation of future IT solutions to determine best-balanced and integrated solutions
  • Review the state-of-the-art awareness of information technology strategies by attending technical sessions, extensive research, and developing a network of industry contacts
  • Conduct demand and feasibility analysis and implement proof-of-concepts 
  • Hands on in implementing proposed solutions and be able to technically guide extended teams during development and deployment of solution.

 

Your profile:

  • University degree or similar qualifications with relevant work experience (preferably in IT, Ecommerce, Digital Marketing e.g.)
  • Professional experience in aforementioned tasks are preferred as well as experience in documentation and development of acceptance criteria and demand analysis
  • Profound skills in modelling of distributed software architecture (methods, design pattern, visualization and documentation
  • Deeper knowledge of agile software development and project life cycles
  • Experience with one of the following technologies would be a plus: Headless eCommerce, SAP commerce (SAP Hybris commerce), Adobe Experience Manager and/or Amazon Web Services
  • Basic know-how of technical strategies, legal demands and common practices
  • Well-rounded professional. Working in structured and organized way.
  • Collaborative & customer oriented. Experienced in facilitating meetings, working groups, or groups of people with varying opinions 
  • Adaptable with innovative mindset. You are flexible, enjoy challenge and bring new ideas forward
  • Proactive. Showcasing excellent customer service engagement & enthusiasm 
  • Passionate & self-driven. Highly interested in topics in the following areas: web, cloud, big data 
  • English is a must; other European language is an asset

 

 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and deploying cloud architecture on AWS
  • Deep understanding of AWS core services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, RDS, and Lambda
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation tools
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux, networking, and security best practices
  • Experience with SAP ERP integrations and API design/development
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them to technical specifications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
