Primary Purpose of the Position
Coordinate the planning, sourcing and execution of the Goodyear International Corporation (GIC) import plan for finished tires for Central America and Caribbean, according to GIC customers’ orders and 18-month demand forecast.
Manage the net requirements and supply confirmation processes across multiple sources of supply. Create/maintain purchase orders with Goodyear plants and 3rd Party suppliers around the world, for fulfillment of confirmed product supply.
Monitor and support execution of confirmed supply, including import/export processing.
Interact with customer service, logistics and sales team for on-time delivery of product to end customers.
 
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Calculate the monthly Net Requirements plan for Central America and Caribbean, in order to plan purchases for next 18 months according to forecast and customer orders.
  • Ensure execution of PBU Phase In/Phase Out schedule (new products, product code changes).
  • Execute the monthly request and supply confirmation processes according to Goodyear’s Global Sales and Operations Planning guidelines.
  • Generate purchase orders according to received supply confirmations.
  • Maintain constant communication with sources/plant teams, following-up on the execution of supply plans and order fulfillment, to ensure timely delivery to end customers.
  • Keep the Customer Service, Logistics and Sales team abreast of supply status so they can provide communication to customers.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining of supply planning processes.
  • Support import/export triangulation process between sources, GIC and end customers
  • Elaborate various managerial reporting at global, regional and local levels as required; monitor, analyze and report KPIs.

 
Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, operations, or related field or in lieu of degree 3-5 years of related experience.

 
Experience

  • 4+ year of experience in supply planning required
  • Experience with SAP, ERP, customer service, import/export, or billing & shipping is desired
  • Work with global organization  

 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Language: Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Well-developed communication skills; ability to articulate complex issues in a concise and logical manner
  • Ability to understand product portfolio, sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and interpret numeric-driven data, translating them in trends, risks and opportunity summaries.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Advance-level of MS Excel
  • Proficient working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, such as SAP or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a virtual and international environment.
